Five LoavesTerms of Use
These terms cover your use of the Five Loaves app and this website. They are an agreement between you and Diminished Seventh, a business in Ontario, Canada, which publishes on Google Play as StudioVII. By using them you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Using the app
Five Loaves is a Bible reading app for personal use. You may use it for yourself, on your own devices. Please do not copy, resell or reverse-engineer the app, or use it to harm others or our service.
Acceptable use
- Do not try to break, overload or get around limits in the service.
- Do not use Ask to generate unlawful, hateful or harmful material, or to harass anyone.
- Do not share your account with others or use someone else's.
We may limit or close an account that breaks these rules.
Bible text
The Bible texts in the app are the King James Version and the American Standard Version, which are in the public domain. The explanations, questions, prayers, descriptions and design are ours.
AI answers can be wrong
Ask and verse explanations are written by an AI model. It can make mistakes, and it can misread what you mean. Treat answers as a thoughtful starting point, not as authority. They are not pastoral, spiritual direction, counselling, medical, legal or other professional advice.
Accounts
Many features work without an account. Ask and explanations need one, which you create with your email address. You are responsible for keeping your email account secure. You can ask us to delete your account at any time. See Delete account.
Subscriptions
The optional Two Fish subscription is billed by Google Play or the Apple App Store when you subscribe in the phone app, or by Stripe (through RevenueCat Web Billing) when you subscribe in the web app. It renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel before renewal. You manage and cancel a phone subscription in your store account's subscription settings, and a web subscription through the manage link in your receipt email. One subscription unlocks Two Fish on both the web and the phone app when you sign in with the same email. Deleting the app or our account does not cancel it. Refunds for phone subscriptions are handled by the store under its own rules; for web subscriptions, write to hello@fiveloaves.app. Prices and what is included may change, and we will tell you before a change affects a renewal.
Our service
We work to keep the app available and correct, but we provide it as is. We may change, pause or end features, and the AI features may sometimes be unavailable or limited.
Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the app, or for decisions you make based on AI answers. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing here limits rights you have under law that cannot be waived.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Courts in Ontario will handle disputes, except where your local consumer law says otherwise.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top will change, and for significant changes we will tell you in the app. Using the app after a change means you accept it.
